Micros Systems says its recently launched Operetta property management system handles all of the essential PMS functions, including front desk, housekeeping, cashiering and end-of-day processing for hotels with standard technology needs. The bundled software, hardware and services solution features reservation blocking, central dashboard, top industry-standard reports, plug-and-play standard property-level interface options and Internet bookings through GDS or the hotel's website.

The out-of-the-box offering comes preinstalled with Operetta PMS and Oracle database. It also comes with two HP business desktop workstations running Windows XP, a laser printer and backup services. The standard offering includes up to a five-day installation schedule, training and database configuration.
