Sky Resorts Seeks Scalability, Flexibility
In June 2007, Orlando-based SKY Resort Management deployed the IQware property management system across all its properties, an upgrade that was completed in less than 60 days without a major hiccup, says the company.
Even with considerable expansion during the past three years, all but one SKY Resort property uses the IQware Global PMS, and the firm plans to install IQware at another 890-unit property soon.
“A lot of systems do front office, but IQware also does the back-end equally well,” says Randy Steinbeck, vice president of SKY. “IQware has the most innovative approaches to dealing with the technology needs of condominium-hotels — everything from room rotation and balancing room revenue among units, to integrating condo ownership, owners' fulfillment and property-management applications.”
According to Steinbeck, the condo-hotel business requires a very robust, scalable and flexible system, and he appreciates that IQware systems are built and supported by hospitality software specialists.
“No cookie-cutter approach works,” he says. “With IQware, we have the flexibility to customize our PMS to work with each condo owner, so we can provide clients exactly the services they deserve and demand.”
Steinbeck also appreciates that IQware involves its customers to co-engineer its systems one module and one feature at a time.
“IQware's team has the willingness and talent to be flexible, rather than just saying, ‘Here is our stuff and you have to live with it until we get around to changing it,’” Steinbeck says. “IQware keeps working, modifying and doing what we need, sometimes even on the fly in a very short amount of time, to give us and our clients exactly what we need to be more successful.”
