A bidding war between Andre Balazs and Ian Schrager could erupt over the Chelsea Hotel. After Balazs was spotted touring the West 23rd Street landmark last week, Schrager was seen taking his own close look yesterday. Schrager said last month that he'd passed on the 250-room Chelsea while noting, "It's a sexy asset with an incredibly sexy history." But sources at the hotel say Schrager is still curious.
