Relatives Say They’re Unable to Contact Ailing Leader
A state investigation has begun into the care of hotel developer John Q. Hammons, who is ill, and the conduct of his business.
An inquiry began late last week after Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder received telephone calls from friends and relatives of Hammons, questioning his care, said Gary McElyea, director of communications for Kinder. Hammons’ company, however, on Monday issued a statement saying it is following a longtime plan that Hammons set up in case he became disabled. Click here for the full story.
