Kansas Suspends Hotel Inspections

Budget Cuts Halt Safety, Sanitation Checks
Budget cuts in Kansas have stopped state authorities from carrying out hotel safety and sanitary inspections. The Kansas Department of Agriculture, which is charged with inspecting lodging facilities, blamed a dour state budget for precipitating the suspension of lodging inspection regulation.
