Chicago Hotels Promise $500M in Improvements After McCormick Place Deal
Hotels in Chicago have promised to make more than $500 million in improvements.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced the investments October 21, the same day that city unions agreed to changes at McCormick Place. The work rule changes that will make the city's massive convention center a friendlier and cheaper place for companies and industries.
Emanuel and members of his staff met with several large Chicago hotels this week to talk about the investments. Hotel representatives at the meeting said more than $500 million in investments will come from the McCormick Place announcement. Click here for the full story.
