Choice Hotels Posts Higher Profit in Q3
Choice Hotels International Inc.'s profit rose 4 percent in the third quarter as higher royalty fees helped lift revenue for the hotel operator.
The company, which franchises Comfort Inn, Clarion and other hotel brands, reported net income of $42.3 million, or 71 cents a share, for the three months ended Sept. 30. That compares with a profit of $40.5 million, or 68 cents a share, in the same period last year.
