Controversy over Dallas' convention center hotel probably will continue as long as it's owned by the city. But in a briefing to council members Monday, a top city official said the hotel is largely meeting its booking goals for its first years of operation – an indication of whether it will be able to meet payments on the $480 million in debt issued to build it.
