DiamondRock Meets Profit Expectations
This has been a year of recovery for the hotel industry, as both business and leisure travelers have begun to spend more. Hotel-REIT DiamondRock Hospitality said its third quarter profits increased 28%, as higher room rates and increased occupancy brought in more revenue for the company’s 26 hotels in the United States.
Funds for operations for the third quarter matched analysts’ expectations for 16 cents per share, excluding special items. With special items FFO came in at $22.8 million, or 14 cents per share, up from $17.8 million or 11 cents per share last year. Click here for the full story.
