Former Condo Hotel King Falor Faces Justice

$190,000 Payment Will Avoid Jail Time
About two years after being indicted by an Ohio grand jury, fallen Chicago hotel developer Robert Falor pleaded no contest Tuesday to charges that he stole $400,000 from an Ohio investor in a Falor-led South Loop hotel project. Mr. Falor, whose local developments included the Hotel 71 on Wacker Drive, was to go on trial Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. But he entered his plea instead and a judge found him guilty of one count of theft, according to a spokesman for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Click here for the full story.
