Greenbrier Lays Off 100 Workers

Most May Be Rehired in April
The Greenbrier resort laid off more than 100 employees Friday in an effort to dig the resort out of a $13 million deficit caused by a slow winter season. About 100 salaried employees and a "fluctuated number of hourly employees" were temporarily laid off, owner Jim Justice said Friday. He did not specify how many hourly employees are affected. The affected positions vary, he said, and include top managerial positions. More than 1,800 people work at the resort. Click here for the full story.
