Hyatt, Omni Eye Pittsburgh Hotel Project
 At least two major hotel chains are in the mix to potentially build a 500-room hotel next to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Hyatt Hotels Corp. of Chicago and Omni Hotels & Resorts of Irving, Texas, responded to a request for proposals earlier this year by the city-Allegheny County Sports & Exhibition Authority.
