Miami Beach voted to continue to oppose any expansion of gaming Wednesday and amped up plans to fight casino legislation proposed in Tallahassee. But some warn an anti-casino stance may hurt the Beach’s ability to compete for tourism dollars. Miami Beach commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to oppose any expansion of gambling and urge the Florida legislature to reject a bill that would open up South Florida to destination casino resorts.
