Westin Called Big Step to Revive Downtown Jackson, MS
Developers believe replacing a vacant office building with an upscale hotel will be a major step in reviving downtown Jackson. The Simpson Group plans to build a nine-story, 205-room Westin hotel on the site of the Mississippi Valley Title building, located at Tombigbee and West streets. The group is in negotiations with the Hinds County Economic Development Authority and other county officials to finalize the hotel deal and settle on a purchase price. Click here for the full story.
